Sustainable mallorca

The excess water which manages the Government lets stop the desalination plants
The Department of Environment, through the Balearic Water Agency and Environmental Quality (Abaque), has sufficient water reserves to supply liquid to the population for a period of time ranging from two to three years without having to resort to the four existing desalination plants currently in Mallorca. The calculation is based on a hypothetical (and unlikely) situation of absolute lack of rain during this period of time, it would seem that the surplus is still above water because the rain cycles can regenerate the different aquifers island and widen the pool of liquid.

Hotels with organic gardens

Due to growing interest in agriculture that respects the environment, hotels are starting to put up their own organic gardens.

These gardens are a creative and rewarding activity aimed at people of all ages, to encourage client participation in recovery and maintenance of agriculture that respects the environment.

The activities are of particular concern for children who can grow and collect the products of the garden with the help of their parents and making your vacation into something educational and fun at the same time.
